Springfield man arrested on drug trafficking and possession charges

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- More illegal drugs were taken off the streets of Springfield after a man was arrested on trafficking charges last Friday.
Police were investigating the distribution of crack-cocaine on the 200 block of Fernbank Road for months.
Detectives identified an apartment at the Eastbrook Apartments during that time, where 42-year-old Gilberto Flores Jr. was the suspect.
A search warrant was conducted, and Flores Jr. was found inside with almost 100 grams of crack-cocaine, more than 65 bags of heroin and fentanyl, and an illegal gun with ammunition. Almost 17 hundred dollars in cash was also seized.
