Springfield officers arrest 16-year-old, seize illegal dirt bike

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Officers have arrested a 16-year-old boy after seizing an illegal dirt bike from him on Wednesday.
It happened just before 5 p.m. on the 100 block of Euclid Avenue. Police said the teen wasn’t wearing a helmet, so they tried to stop him on Horace Street. He instead dropped the bike and ran, but he was arrested upon returning to Euclid Avenue.
The teen, whom investigators said had an outstanding warrant, was arrested and his dirt bike was seized. Police noted that the boy’s name will not be released due to his age.
