Springfield Police arrest 2 suspects on drug, gun charges

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Two men were arrested Thursday night on various gun and drug charges.
For months, police have been investigating an apartment for illegally selling drugs on the 0-100 block of Summit Street. A search warrant was executed Thursday and officials identified two suspects.
David Negron, 42, and Joan Rivera, 39, both of Springfield, were arrested and found over a dozen packets of heroin and fentanyl, along with a ghost gun, and ammunition. Nearly $300 in cash was also seized.
