Springfield to open cooling centers

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -- The City of Springfield is helping residents beat the incoming heat.
They’re opening over half a dozen cooling centers across the city Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, including at the Indian Orchard and South End Center. They’ll also be open at various senior centers.
