SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - The Healey Administration is taking action to protect farmland in the Bay State, including in western Massachusetts.
Organizations in Northampton and Greenfield are getting a cut of the more than $1.8 million being awarded through the Massachusetts Farmland Partnership Program. The money will go towards the creation and updating of farmland protection plans in all four western Massachusetts counties.
