States awards $50M for road paving to improve safety, travel

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -- The Healey-Driscoll Administration has awarded $50 million for road paving projects across Massachusetts over the next few years to improve infrastructure.
The funds are being granted to 34 different municipalities to pave over 217 miles of roadway and the paving will begin as soon as 2027.
The following Western Massachusetts communities will receive funding in Fiscal Year 2027:
