SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -- The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame unveiled a new exhibit dedicated to Stephan Curry on Friday, making him the first active NBA player in the institution’s history to receive a dedicated display.

The exhibit, titled “Beyond the Arc,” is located in The Vault, a rotating storytelling space inside the Hall of Fame focused on the evolution of basketball.

Paul Dionne, Vice President of Marketing for the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, said Curry’s reputation made the project straightforward. “It’s pretty easy to market. This is a universally beloved human being and basketball player. Stephen Curry, just a great person on and off the court. That’s part of the story we’re telling here with the title ‘Beyond the Arc,’” he explained.

The exhibit features memorabilia from the Curry family vault, including his MVP trophy, game-worn jerseys, sneakers, and narrated videos detailing career milestones from his 17-year NBA career. Curry holds the NBA record for career three-pointers made.

Matt Zeysing, Vice President of Curatorial at the Hall of Fame, said the institution looks to recognize players who represent the best of the sport. “We honor basketball history and it is kind of made every night, but we also honor the best of the best. So, we may not be looking for a rookie to come here to the Hall of Fame, but a future Hall of Famer definitely and Stephen Curry fits that bill,” he added.

“Beyond the Arc” is a limited-time exhibit open to visitors through October 2027.
