The City of Springfield hosts Black History Month flag raising ceremony

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- The City of Springfield kicked off Black History Month with its 40th annual Black American Heritage Flag Raising ceremony at City Hall over the weekend.
In attendance were Mayor Dominic Sarno and State Representative Bud Williams.
Joined by Dr. Gloria Williams, they presented the prestigious Ruth B. Loving Civil Rights Award to lifelong activist Delois F. Swan.
