Turners Falls man sentenced to state prison in fentanyl, gun case

GREENFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - A Turners Falls man is headed to state prison after police said they found hundreds of bags of fentanyl and a gun during a traffic stop.
Jacob Sisson, 26, was sentenced in Franklin County Superior Court to five to six years behind bars.
Prosecutors said an anti-crime task force had Sisson under surveillance in December 2024 and pulled him over after suspected drug activity. They added he tried to run and resisted arrest before being handcuffed.
A search turned up a handgun, ammunition, and about 120 bags of fentanyl on Sisson and nearly 600 more bags inside his vehicle. He did not have a license to carry and pleaded guilty to drug, gun, and resisting arrest charges in a plea deal.
