SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Two people were arrested and a loaded gun was seized Sunday in Springfield.

Police responded to the 100 block of Girard Avenue around 4 p.m. after reports of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found two suspects, 32-year-old Larry Green of Springfield and 25-year-old Christian Hernandez of Ludlow and placed them under arrest.

Investigators searched the vehicle and, along with that gun, they reportedly found more than 50 bags of marijuana and crack cocaine.

Green and Hernandez were both arrested on gun and drug-related charges.
