West Springfield man acquitted in Springfield murder trial

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - A man accused of the 2022 murder of another man on Longhill Street in Springfield has been found not guilty.
Springfield Police arrested Ricky Brown of West Springfield in May 2023. A warrant had been issued for his arrest since August 2022, just days after the shooting death of 28-year-old John Rivera of Springfield.
Brown was also found not guilty of possessing a firearm without an FID card and carrying a firearm without a license.
