West Springfield tunnel to be shutdown overnight for inspections

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- A traffic alert for those who plan on driving through West Springfield any time Monday night through Tuesday morning.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation says the Route 5 southbound tunnel beneath the North End Bridge rotary in West Springfield will be closed to traffic, from nine p.m. Monday night until six a.m. Tuesday morning, for inspections.
During this time, all traffic will be detoured through the North End Bridge rotary.
