DEDHAM, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- An update on Karen Read and the wrongful death lawsuit filed against her by the family of her ex-boyfriend, the late John O’Keeffe.

A civil lawsuit hearing originally scheduled for Tuesday has been postponed.

According to Boston News Outlets, Read’s lawyers were expected to ask a judge to order the DA’s office, former State Trooper Michael Proctor and suspended Canton Police Sergeant Sean Goode to produce documents on the case. However, they reached an agreement with the DA before the hearing took place.

Meanwhile, Read has also filed a lawsuit against members of law enforcement and witnesses in her murder trial and later retrial for O’Keefe’s death.

Read will be back in court in February. In the meantime, a movie called “Accused: The Karen Read Story” is set to debut this Saturday, January 10th, on Lifetime.
