Car on truck accident leads to serious injuries
STURBRIDGE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - On Friday around 9:30 p.m. first responders in Sturbridge were dispatched to a serious accident on Main Street.
Upon arriving to the scene, police discovered the accident involved a rental box truck and a car. The driver of the car, a 23-year-old man from Southbridge, was discovered to have serious life threatening injuries. Crews immediately rushed to perform life saving measures to save the driver.
The operator of the car was soon transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center. However, the occupants inside the truck were not injured. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
