Jets cornerback Kris Boyd critically wounded in Manhattan shooting (report)

New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd is in critical condition after he was critically wounded in a shooting in Midtown early Sunday, The New York post reported.
“We are aware of the situation involving Kris Boyd and will have no further comment at this time,” the Jets said in a statement to CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones.
The police did not identify Boyd as the victim, but sources confirmed to The New York Post the 29-year-old was the one who was shot.
The incident, law enforcement sources told The Post, happened outside Sei Less restaurant when a dispute took a violent turned and the gunman fired two shots. Boyd was shot in the abdomen.
The outlet the gunman fled the scene, and witnesses didn’t cooperate with police, per The New York Post.
Boyd is in critical, but stable condition.
There have been no arrests at the time of publishing.
