Man charged with murder in connection with fatal shooting of teen in Pittsfield

An 18-year-old man was arrested Thursday in connection with the fatal shooting of a teenager in Pittsfield late last month, the Berkshire County District Attorney’s office said.
Jaequan Spratling has been charged with murder and attempted armed robbery in connection with the killing of Brodie Slonski in Pittsfield on Oct. 26. Spratling will be arraigned on the charges in Central Berkshire District Court on Friday afternoon, District Attorney Timothy Shugrue said in a statement.
Pittsfield police responded to the area of 17 Parker St. around 6:15 p.m. on Oct. 26 for a report of a single-car crash. An officer at the scene found a white Honda HR-V across Franco Terrace near the intersection of Parker Street, where both steering wheel and side curtain airbags were deployed, officials said.
