Phoenix Charter Academy in Springfield is now one of over 380 schools across the commonwealth to be a member of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA).

The school was admitted into the association following a vote during an executive session of the MIAA’s Board of Directors on Wednesday. The school was initially denied admittance into the association following a vote during a meeting on Aug. 20, but has now been admitted following an appeal put forward by the school.
