Springfield man accused of robbing elderly women

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Police have arrested a Springfield man accused of multiple thefts in the area.
The thefts involved robbing at least two different elderly women by taking their purses, along with various contents that were inside. Police began investigating these two incidents and, on Wednesday, authorities arrested 38-year-old Angel Gonzalez.
The robberies were unarmed, but this is not Gonzalez’s first run in with the law. In fact, police said he has had 56 prior arraignments, many of which involved theft-related charges.
