SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Over a dozen people are facing charges in Springfield after a months-long, multi-agency investigation into cocaine trafficking out of an Orange Street apartment.
Officers seized around 130 grams powder and crack-cocaine, 384 bags of heroin, a loaded illegal gun, loose ammunition, and $734 in cash during a search of that apartment.
Police also said they detained 14 people, 13 of which were arrested and one received a criminal complaint. The suspects range in age from 19 to 64 and are from various cities in Hampden County. They each face several drug and gun-related charges.
Springfield Police added that the home was then condemned by code enforcement for violations and unsanitary conditions.
