BOSTON — David Pastrnak didn’t drag it out. Unlike many milestone chases, the Bruins star checked the box quickly.

After scoring No. 399 on Saturday, Pastrnak returned to Boston and delivered for the home crowd at TD Garden.

Morgan Geekie got the puck at center ice in the first minutes of the second period and redirected a pass to Pastrnak for a mini-breakaway.

He faked a backhand, pulled back to his forehand and beat Dennis Hildeby for No. 400.

The Bruins bench all streamed on the ice to celebrate with him.

Here are 13 things you didn’t know you needed to know about Pastrnak’s milestone goal:

∗ Pastrnak ranks 112th on the NHL’s career goal list. Shane Doan, Paul Kariya and John Ogrodnick are tied at 109 with 402.

∗ He’s one of six players to reach 400 for the Bruins, joining Johnny Bucyk (545), Phil Esposito (459), Patrice Bergeron (427), Brad Marchand (422) and Rick Middleton 402).

∗ Toronto is tied with Philadelphia atop the list of teams Pastrnak has scored most often against. He has 26 goals in 34 games each both teams.

∗ His first goal came Jan 10, 2015 against Flyers goalie Ray Emery. Newly-minted Hall of Famer Zdeno Chara and Torrey Krug each had assists.

∗ No. 100 came vs. Detroit on Pastrnak’s second goal of a hat trick on Oct. 13, 2018. Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand had assists.

∗ No. 200 came on May 8, 2021 in a 5-4 loss to the Rangers against short-time Bruins teammate Keith Kinkaid. Mika Zibanejad also scored his 200th in that game. But Pastrnak has pulled away in that race as Zibanejad had just 319 entering Tuesday’s game.

∗ No. 300, like No. 100 came as part of a hat trick, and like his first, it came against Philadelphia. The goal, on April 9, 2023, was his 60th of the season. Felix Sandstrom gave it up. Hampus Lindholm and Tyler Bertuzzi had assists.

∗ 125 of Pastrnak’s 400 goals came on the power play. 0 of them were shorthanded.

∗ 18 of his goals were empty-netters.

∗ 3 came on penalty shots.

∗ He has 39 career playoff goals and 10 career shootout goals. None of those count in his 400.

∗ 222 of his goals came at home and 178 were on the road.

∗ 283 came in wins, 75 in losses and 41 in ties.
