EAST LONGMEADOW — As Lily Dunne stepped up to the penalty spot in Saturday’s shootout, the Spartans’ freshman was determined to succeed for all her teammates standing behind her.

“I was pretty nervous, but I knew that I believed in my team and it wasn’t just me that got us there,” Dunne said. “We did it as a whole, we played those 100 minutes hard and I knew that I had to put that into the back of the net for us.”
