The Daily Hampshire Gazette sports department will be unveiling All-Stars that are comprised of Hampshire County athletes for the spring sports, starting with boys volleyball.

Regular-season play and postseason performances were taken under consideration when putting together All-Stars.

Each sport will also include several honorable mentions, for athletes that fell just short of All-Star consideration.

Gavin Couchon | Belchertown

Couchon took a huge leap in his junior season, proving to be one of the best outside hitters in the Pioneer Valley in 2026. Leading the Orioles in kills (268) and aces (58), Couchon played a huge role in helping his squad make a run to the Round of 32 in the state tournament.

Arda Cayan | Belchertown

Cayan was huge in getting the ball in his playmaker’s hands this season as the Orioles setter. Racking up 584 assists along the way, the sophomore was an essential part of the operation for his team.

Shea MacLean | Belchertown

As one of the taller middle-blockers in the area, MacLean used his size to his advantage to make the most of his opportunities. The senior led the Orioles with 72 blocks, also tallying 189 kills in 2026.

Jake Gagnon | Granby

The Rams were a versatile group this season, with each of their players wearing multiple hats on any given day. Gagnon led the way for his group as both an outside hitter and setter, putting together a great senior season that featured a team-high 236 kills and 68 aces. He was also one block shy of the team lead (23), adding 239 assists.

Nathan Walsh | Granby

Walsh was another pillar of versatility, finding most of his success setting for the Rams with a team-high 347 assists this year. The junior also spent time as an outside hitter, tallying 126 kills and playing a huge role down the stretch in the team’s Western Mass. Championship and state tournament Round of 16 run.

Braeden Gallagher | Granby

Rounding out the trio for the Rams, Gallagher spent time as both an outside hitter and libero in 2026. The senior excelled in both roles, finishing the year with a team-high 115 digs along with 159 kills.

Cosmo Bond | Holyoke

The Purple Knights’ rebuilding year had some major bright spots, with Bond continuing the success from his freshman year into his sophomore campaign. Bond led his squad in both kills and blocks, continuing to blossom into an impactful player.

Tason Dennis | Holyoke

Dennis was another young source of production for the Purple Knights, breaking out in his sophomore season. As the team’s main setter, Dennis led the way in assists and aces while tallying his fair share of kills as well.

Honorable mentions: Brian Burns (Belchertown); Dara Mao (Belchertown); Daniel Santiago (Granby); Richard Sweet (Granby); Xavier Mattas (Holyoke).
