No. 4 Monson netted five goals, spearheaded by a hat trick from Hannah Murphy, in its 5-3 victory over No. 5 Saint John Paul II in the quarterfinal round of the Division V state tournament on Thursday.
After a slow start from kickoff, the Mustangs quickly rebounded after 10 minutes into the game, found their flow on offense and scored three unanswered goals.
