SPRINGFIELD — Clinging to a one-goal lead with less than 15 minutes remaining in Thursday’s MIAA Division III quarterfinal game, the Pope Francis girls’ soccer team just wanted some insurance. One little goal to create a bit of separation from a hard-charging Wilmington team that had rallied within striking distance.
