Northampton boys, girls teams place at Massachusetts Ultimate Championship
The Massachusetts Statewide Ultimate Championship took place at the Oxbow Marina this past weekend, with a pair of local teams earning podium finishes.
The Northampton Bx boys team earned a runner-up finish, falling to Lexington, 15-8, in the Division I final.
The Northampton Gx girls team took third place in the Div. I bracket, squeaking past Amherst, 9-8, in the third-place game. Four Rivers secured the Div. I title with a 15-5 win against Cambridge Rindge and Latin.
More than 1,000 athletes from 51 different schools competed at the Marina, which concluded on Sunday in very wet conditions.
Sunday’s action wrapped up Northampton’s tournament schedule for 2026.
