Northampton Post 28 picks up third straight win

The Northampton Legion Post 28 baseball team grabbed a crucial, 7-1, win over East Springfield Post 420 at Central High School on Wednesday night.
James Lavallee pitched a gem for Post 28, tossing six innings with one run and three hits allowed while racking up six strikeouts.
Carter Styspeck and Harry LaFlamme each pounded two-RBI hits for Northampton, while Andrew Gagne added a pair of base knocks as well.
Matt Vassallo threw the final frame on the bump for Post 28.
The victory, its third straight, improved Northampton’s record to 8-5 overall.
