UMass men’s basketball welcomes third transfer in Junjie Wang from San Francisco

A third transfer addition will join the UMass men’s basketball team next season as Junjie Wang has committed to the Minutemen from San Francisco.
Wang started 48 games across two seasons with the Dons and averaged 8.5 points and 3.0 rebounds in 33 games as a junior in 2025-26. The rising senior stands at 6-foot-9 and hails from Xuzhou, China.
“Barry Wang is going to be a tremendous addition to our program,” head coach Frank Martin said in a media release. “After spending three years of San Francisco and playing for the Chinese national team, he’s going to add a combination of size, skill and physicality that will be extremely beneficial for our team in our style of play.”
Wang joins Jordan Clayton and Abdullah Ahmed as tranfer adds for UMass’ squad for next season.
