SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The bitter cold continues today, as we hang onto a breeze bringing wind chill values to between -10 to -30°.

**Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect for Hampden, Hampshire and Franklin Counties through 11am**

**Extreme Cold Warning remains in effect for Berkshire County through 11am*

Today will be a very cold day with highs in the teens and a decent breeze. Bringing wind chills in the single to double digits below 0° in the afternoon. Mostly sunny though, despite the cold.

Then winds start to relax for tonight. While temperatures may fall to as low as -12°, there will be less wind, and thus not as bad of a wind chill.

Saturday continues the bitter cold and will feature a mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the upper teens and lower 20’s.

Sunday is also very cold, and a bit windier with a coastal storm passing offshore.

It’s looking more likely that the coastal low passes far enough away, that the storm misses Western Massachusetts, and the brunt of the storm hit the shoreline, cape and islands.

We may still see some gusty winds up to 30-35 mph, we’re expecting no snow. Just high and mid-level clouds. The Cape will see a few inches of snow, very gusty winds, and perhaps some coastal flooding.

Next week looks to be mostly dry and the bitter cold starts to come to an end. Perhaps more typical February temperatures. Upper 20’s and lower 30’s
