SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - It was a cold start out there as many of us wake up in the 20’s with a mostly clear sky and diminishing breeze.

Today is going to be a beautiful day! We’ll have wall to wall sunshine, light winds and highs around 50° thanks to high pressure in control of our weather for today.

Tonight, we’re mostly clear and it’s cold once again as we fall back into the 20’s with a light to calm wind.

The remainder of the week is also looking great too, as high pressure continues to influence our weather. Tomorrow, high pressure slides offshore a little, and this will bring a flow from the south. Winds kick up a little bit, and we’ll see highs range in the upper 50’s to near 60°, all with mostly sunny skies.

Friday, we’re also partly to mostly sunny with highs getting even warmer. Upper 60’s to near 70°.

A falling apart front will come through Friday evening, but hold together enough to bring a few brief showers, and it will also knock down our temperatures too heading into the weekend, but only by a little.

Both Saturday and Sunday are nice and dry. Mostly sunny with highs ranging in the lower 60’s. We’ll start next week off dry and warm.

Monday is partly sunny with highs in the lower 70’s. We remain warm through Tuesday, but our rain chances start to increase as we head deeper into next week.
