SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - It was a cold start this morning, as many of us ranged in the single digits above and below 0°.

Today will feature mostly sunny skies and it won’t be as bitterly cold as it was for the last 7-10 days. Today, we’ll see highs ranging in the middle and upper 20’s to lower 30’s. Closer to normal. A light breeze today will drive wind chills down into the teens and 20’s.

Tonight, we’re mostly clear with a light to calm wind, so temperatures will go into free-fall. Lows overnight range between 0 and -10°.

Tomorrow, we’re back to mostly sunny skies with highs in the 20’s to lower 30’s. Light breezes.

The rest of this week also remains quiet. We’ll see mostly sunny skies each day, with highs ranging into the upper 20’s to near 30°. A little more of a breeze Wednesday and Thursday.

Friday, a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the 20’s. An arctic front in on the way for Friday night. Ahead of the front, we may see some light snow showers leading to some minor accumulations.

Behind the front, the weekend turns windy and frigid. Something we aren’t strangers to. Highs over the weekend will be stuck in the teens, with gusty winds, putting wind chills below 0°.
