Damp with Leftover Showers Tuesday

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - It was a damp start as we had some leftover showers overnight and into the morning. We picked up anywhere from a half inch to an inch and a half of beneficial rain in Western Mass Monday.
Showers begin to slowly taper off throughout the morning, and clouds linger as low pressure slowly slides away. Later this afternoon, we should see a few breaks of sun as we dry out. We’re also breezy. Winds may gust to 20 mph at times, and temperatures should range in the upper 70’s.
Tonight, skies are clearing out, it’s cool and less muggy. Lows fall into the middle and upper 50’s.
Wednesday, we’re mostly sunny, breezy and nice. Highs in the lower 80’s. Classic June stuff.
Thursday, we’re partly sunny most of the day with building clouds in the afternoon. An approaching set of fronts brings us our next chance for rain. This would be Thursday night into Friday with the passage of a warm front, then a cold front. Periods of rain and perhaps a few thunderstorms are possible, and it turns muggy too.
We’re drying out over the weekend. Sun and clouds Saturday with perhaps a shower chance, as we track a system passing to our south. Sunday is looking nice with mostly sunny skies and highs in the 80’s.
Next week is trending warm and dry as we look to wrap up the month of June.
