Dry Monday, Mild & Unsettled This Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - After a very nice weekend, we are starting off this week dry and mild. Today though features more clouds than sun unlike over the weekend.
Today, we’re partly to mostly cloudy, mild and breezy. Highs range in the middle and upper 60’s with winds out of the southwest gusting to 20-30 mph.
There is an elevated risk for brush fires today due to low relative humidity, gusty winds and prolonged drier weather. With upcoming rain chances, this risk will lower.
Tonight, we’re mainly cloudy and we remain mild. Lows tonight range in the 50’s. We’ll also see a few scattered showers around, especially closer to sunrise Tuesday.
Tuesday is an unsettled day. We’ll start off with rain in the morning, then feature overcast skies. Periods of off and on scattered showers throughout the day are expected. So, there will be times where it’s not raining, and times where it is. You will need the umbrella.
It will also be mild and breezy Tuesday with highs ranging in the middle and upper 60’s to around 70°.
Tuesday night, rain with perhaps a few rumbles of thunder. No risk for severe weather, as that threat stays to the west, but we can expect to see a few thunderstorms roll through.
Wednesday is a continuation of this same pattern. Off and on scattered showers throughout the day. When it’s not raining, it’s cloudy. It’s also breezy and warm with highs ranging the upper 60’s and lower 70’s.
The remainder of the week remains unsettled with shower chances through Friday. It’s a bit cooler on Thursday with highs ranging in the 40’s. Then we’re back into the 60’s by Friday.
Steadier rain by Friday night into Saturday. Then the rest of Saturday remains mainly cloudy and mild with highs close to 70°.
Easter Sunday, we’re expecting to see periods of rain, gusty breezes, with highs ranging in the 60’s before next week starts trending drier.
