SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Merry Christmas eve! Today, we’ll see mostly sunny skies with highs between 32-40°.

**A Wind Advisory has been issued for Berkshire County, and Western Hampden, Hampshire & Franklin Counties through Noon Wednesday.**

There will be a persistent gusty wind out of the northwest. Gusting between 25-35 mph in the valley, between 35-45 mph at times in the hills. With that, wind chills range in the upper 20’s and lower 30’s.

Tonight, we’re partly cloudy and winds are relaxing as lows fall into the middle and upper 20’s.

Christmas Day will feature more clouds around, especially in the morning. A weak disturbance passes to the north bringing some light snow showers to parts of northern New England. Can’t rule out a flurry or light snow shower early in the morning for parts of Berkshire and Franklin counties.

Otherwise, skies gradually clear throughout the day with a light breeze. Highs range in the upper 30’s to near 40°.

We’re tracking the chance for a few more snow showers perhaps late Friday into Saturday. As of now, minor accumulations in Western Mass, with bigger amounts to our south and west across parts of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Then another around of rain and snow mix for late-Sunday, ending as a period of rain into Monday.

Next week, the final few days of 2025 are looking dry and chilly, with perhaps a snow chance to New Year’s Day.
