If you’ve come to rely on MassLive.com as your trusted news source, Google has introduced a feature that will make it easier to find the site when looking for news, weather, sports, entertainment and other Massachusetts information.

Google has launched “Preferred Sources” in the U.S., allowing people looking for information on the web to designate which websites they want to see first in search results.

When you select masslive.com as a Preferred Source, you’ll see more MassLive articles displayed in Google’s Top Stories feature or in the “From your sources” section on the results page, according to Google.

You’ll still see results from other sites, too, but it will be easier to find MassLive’s trusted, accurate, award-winning journalism.

It’s easy to designate MassLive.com as your preferred source. Just click here and check the box next to MassLive. That’s it.

You can select as many other preferred sources as you like.

You can also find the spot to set up preferred sources by going to Google.com, searching for any keyword, then clicking on the icon to the right of the “Top Stories” header. You can type masslive in the “search by name or website” filter.

When you refresh your search results or visit Google again, you’ll see more from masslive.com and any other sites you choose as preferred sources.
