SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Watch for icy spots as rain and freezing rain moves through the area.

**A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for all of Western Massachusetts until 10am today.**

Freezing rain should come to an end and temperatures should rise above freezing, allowing for some melting as we push into the mid to late morning.

Today will then feature mostly cloudy skies with highs ranging in the upper 30’s to around 40° by the afternoon. Some melting will occur, so watch for refreeze tomorrow morning, as tonight, temperatures fall back into the 20’s.

Thursday features more sunshine with highs in the lower to middle 40’s.

Then middle 40’s Friday and Saturday with a few periods of rain. Next week, we’re trending drier and also mild with highs in the lower to middle 40’s.
