Mass. weather: The season’s 1st snowfall expected on Veterans Day as cold front moves in

Rain showers and some isolated thunderstorms are expected across Massachusetts on Monday evening into the night.
The weather will shift to much colder temperatures and blustery conditions for Veterans Day on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The Berkshires are expected to see the first accumulating snow of the season with up to 2 inches possible, while brief showers could reach as far as the coast.
Temperatures will start to dip overnight into the 30s in most of the state, with the upper 20s possible in higher terrain regions of western Massachusetts.
Expect a chilly start to Tuesday with wind chills dropping temperatures into the upper teens and 20s by daybreak.
These will be the coldest temperatures of the season, so make sure to dress warmly if you are attending any Veterans Day events.
Temperatures statewide will be unseasonably cold and windy, with temperatures struggling to reach the upper 30s and lower 40s — about 10 to 15 degrees colder than normal for mid-November, according to the National Weather Service.
While the Berkshires could see up to 2 inches of snow coating, the rest of Massachusetts will see brief snow showers throughout the day. Many residents could see their first snowflakes of the season.
