SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Today starts off damp with spotty showers coming to an end.

With a warm front to our north and a flow out of the south, today will then feature a mix of sun and clouds with very mild temperatures. Normal high for today is about 50°, and we’ll be ranging between 62-70°.

Low pressure passes to our north and a cold front approaches. Ahead of the front, we’ll see a period of soaking rain this evening into tonight. Rain looks to get going between 5-6pm, then last at a steady pace until after midnight.

Steady rain ends before the sun rises tomorrow. All said and done, we should pick up a half inch to an inch of rain. A solid soaking for Western Mass.

Friday starts off mild and damp, then as a cooler air mass builds in behind the cold front, we’re gradually getting cooler. Highs Friday afternoon will range in the 40’s. It will also be breezy at times, and we’ll see mostly cloudy skies at first, becoming sunnier by later in the day.

This weekend is looking dry. Sun and clouds both on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday looking a bit chillier, with highs in the upper 30’s to around 40°. Sunday we’ll see highs closer to 50°.

Next week is trending mild and unsettled with several chances for showers.
