SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -

***A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for all of Western Massachusetts Until 10 a.m. Wednesday***

Periods of light, freezing rain will continue on and off overnight creating an icy glaze leading to potentially hazardous walking and in some cases driving conditions.

Mixed, frozen precipitation will come to an end Wednesday morning however will likely linger through the morning commute. Untreated surfaces will be icy as you head out the door. Be extra cautious both on foot and driving on the roads.

Clouds will linger into the afternoon as temperatures inch into the middle and upper 30’s. Conditions will slowly improve with some late day clearing.

Skies clear tomorrow night with readings falling into the 20’s so watch out for some re-freeze.

Thursday is looking very nice with highs reaching into the middle 40’s along with quite a bit of sunshine.

Our next system arrives Friday afternoon with a round of rain showers with temperatures well into the 40’s. Icing is not a concern. On it’s heels another system arrives for Saturday afternoon and night with temperatures in the 40’s to near 50 degrees it will again be all rain.

We dry out Sunday with blustery conditions, but still milder temperatures will readings back into the 40’s. We turn more seasonable for the start of next however there are no snow chances or Arctic cold in sight.
