Periods of Light Snow Tuesday Afternoon

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - It was a cold and mainly cloudy start to our day today.
We’re expecting to see mainly cloudy skies for the first half of the day, with highs ranging in the 30’s.
This afternoon, we’re tracking a clipper system, which will bring some light snow, impacting the evening commute.
**Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Berkshire County and Western Hampden County from 6pm Tuesday through 6am Wednesday**
Snow begins between 1-3pm, coming down light to steady. Ending by midnight.
Likely to slow down the evening commute. We’ll see minor accumulations. 1-3″ in many valley locations, with around 3-5″ in the higher elevations.
Tonight, once snow ends, we’re mostly cloudy and cold with lows ranging in the 20’s.
Wednesday, it remains mostly cloudy and turns blustery. Highs remain in the low to mid-30’s with a few flurries around in the hills. Winds may gust between 20-30 mph.
Quiet weather continues through the rest of the week. At least until Saturday, which is Valentine’s Day, we’re partly to mostly sunny with highs in the 30’s.
Next chance for wet weather looks to be around on Sunday night into Monday. Some models hint at a storm passing to the south. We’re still trying to pinpoint the track of the low, but we could see some rain and snow showers.
This would then be followed by a milder trend heading into next week.
