PITTSFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - The City of Pittsfield is seeking volunteers for its Snow Angel program, in which volunteers help senior residents unable to clear snow from around their homes after a significant storm.

The goal is to keep our older neighbors, as well as delivery and postal workers, safe during hazardous conditions.

Snow Angels are matched to a neighbor within a mile of their own home and agree to remove the snow within 24 hours of any major snowfall. Volunteers must be 18 or older and can sign up with the city’s recreation and special events coordinator via e-mail.
