Quiet Weather lasts through the rest of the week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - It was a very cold start to the day once again after winds went calm overnight with clear skies. Temperatures went into free-fall as many of us woke up to lows below 0°.
Today, we’re back to mostly sunny skies with highs in the 20’s to lower 30’s. Light breezes, so not much of a wind chill.
The rest of this week also remains quiet. We’ll see mostly sunny skies each day, with highs ranging into the upper 20’s to near 30°. A little more of a breeze Wednesday and Thursday.
Friday, a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the 20’s. An arctic front in on the way for Friday night.
Ahead of the front, we may see some light snow showers leading to some minor accumulations.
Behind the front, the weekend turns windy and frigid. Something we aren’t strangers to. Highs over the weekend will be stuck in the teens, with gusty winds, putting wind chills well below 0°. We’re talking dangerous cold once again this weekend.
Frigid air lingers into the first part of next week, before we start to trend milder by the middle and end of next week.
