Return to a Classic June-Feel to Start the Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - We had a few downpours as a cold front come through overnight and in the very early morning hours.
Now that we are behind the cold front, we push the reset button as our weather returns to a classic mid-June-feel.
Today, we’re mostly sunny with highs ranging in the 70’s to near 80°. After a somewhat humid start, dew points are falling, so we turn less humid as the day goes on. We’re also a little breezy at times. Winds out of the northwest between 10-15 mph.
Tonight, we’re mostly clear and cool with lows falling into the upper 40’s and lower 50’s.
Tuesday is shaping up to be a very nice day. We’re mostly sunny and seasonable. Highs in the middle and upper 70’s to around 80° once again with a lighter westerly breeze.
Wednesday, an approaching warm front may bring us a few showers in the morning with rising dew points. We should see a few breaks if sun in the afternoon. Right now, rain leans more towards the first half of the day.
Thursday, it’s warm and humid as a cold front approaches. Ahead of that front, we will see some rain, downpours and some thunderstorms. We’re watching the potential for severe weather; we’ll have a clearer picture as we get closer. It’s also likely going to be windy.
Behind the front, Friday, Juneteenth, is trending drier, less humid and breezy under a mix of sun and clouds.
This weekend right now is looking nice. Partly to mostly sunny both Saturday and Sunday. Highs in the upper 70’s to around 80°. Windy at times, especially Saturday. Sunday by the way is the first day of Summer and Father’s Day!
