SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Today, we have a mix of sun and clouds. With some upper-level energy around, we could see a hit or miss shower in the afternoon, but the majority of the day is dry with highs ranging in the upper 50’s and lower 60’s.

Tonight, we’re chilly with lows falling to either side of 40° with building clouds.

This weekend, we’re tracking a period of rain for Saturday as low pressure passes to our south.

This will likely bring steady rain for the majority of the day, bringing a half inch to an inch of rain to Southern New England. So, if you have outdoor plans Saturday, make sure you have the umbrella or rain gear. It’s also cool and raw with highs ranging in the 50’s.

Sunday, Mother’s Day, looking nicer. Sun and clouds with highs in the 60’s and lower to middle 70’s. Chance for a hit or miss shower, but the majority of the day is dry, and Sunday regardless will definitely be the nicer of the two weekend days.

This is followed by more rain chances and a cooler pattern once again heading into next week.
