Sunny & Pleasant for Tuesday

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - We had a nice cool, crisp start to the day, and today is shaping up to be a very nice day once again.
We’re mostly sunny and seasonable. Highs in the middle and upper 70’s to around 80° with a lighter westerly breeze. This is thanks to high pressure controlling our weather.
Tonight, we’re once again partly cloudy and cool. Another AC’s off, windows open kind of night.
Wednesday, we’re partly sunny in the morning as high pressure slides away. An approaching warm front may bring us a few showers around mid-day, lasting into the afternoon. By the end of the day Wednesday, dew points are starting to creep up, so it will gradually become more humid as we get behind the warm front.
Thursday, it’s warm and humid. We have a cold front approaching, and ahead of that front, we will see some rain, downpours and some thunderstorms with gusty winds. Right now, it looks like we may see a few isolated strong storms. The storm prediction center places Western Mass under a marginal risk for severe weather, 1 out of 5 on the scale. Higher risks to our south and west.
Behind the front, Friday, Juneteenth, is trending drier, less humid and breezy under a mix of sun and clouds. This weekend right now is looking nice. Partly to mostly sunny both Saturday and Sunday. Highs in the upper 70’s to around 80°. Windy at times, especially Saturday. Sunday by the way is the first day of Summer and Father’s Day!
