Sunny & Seasonable Tuesday

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - After being stuck in the 30’s with clouds and rain the last couple days, today will be a much nicer day.
A very typical March Day. Highs ranging between 45-50° with partly to mostly sunny skies and a light breeze.
Tonight, we remain partly cloudy, and it gets cold once again. Lows falling into the middle and upper 20’s. Though not unheard of for this time of year. Our average overnight low is around 28°.
Wednesday, we start partly sunny, then more clouds build in as the day goes on. A warm front passes to our north, this, and a wind out of the south helps bring temperatures up into the lower 50’s Wednesday afternoon.
Thursday is looking mainly cloudy. We’ll have that wind out of the south that continues to bring in milder air. We should range in the upper 50’s to around 60°. A few spotty showers are possible.
A more steady, soaking rain though is likely Thursday night as a cold front drops down from the north. Perhaps a few gusty breezes, and some steady rain with an embedded downpour. We should see anywhere from a quarter inch to three-quarters of an inch of rain.
A few showers may be leftover early Friday, but then we are gradually drying out. Cooler air works in behind the cold front, so Friday will be blustery with highs ranging in the 40’s.
This weekend, we’re looking dry both days. Partly to mostly sunny. A little chiller Saturday with highs closer to 40°. Breezy with highs closer to 50° on Sunday.
