SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - We had a nice, refreshing start to the day after a pretty nice weekend overall. A few showers and thunderstorms, but also many hours where it was sunny.

High pressure is settling in to control out weather for the next few days, which brings a stretch of nice weather. Today, we’re shaping up to have a very nice day with sunshine and highs ranging in the upper 70’s and lower 80’s. Humidity remains low. Light breeze too.

Tonight, we’re mostly clear, cool and refreshing. Lows fall into the upper 40’s and lower 50’s.

Tomorrow, we’re mostly sunny and a little warmer. Highs range in the middle and upper 80’s with humidity remaining low.

Wednesday, we’re partly sunny, hot and turning a little bit more humid as our dew points creep up into the 60’s. We’re also dry for the majority of the day, though a warm front in the evening may bring a few showers or even some rumbles of thunder.

Thursday and Friday are both hot and humid. Highs range in the lower 90’s with dew points in the upper 60’s. We’ll have sun and clouds for many hours each day, but enough instability in the atmosphere, to where we’ll likely see some thunderstorms fire up in the afternoons.

Right now, the weekend is shaping up nice. Sun and clouds both Saturday and Sunday. Warmer and still a little muggy Saturday, highs in the middle and upper 80’s. Warm and less muggy Sunday with highs in the middle 80’s.
