Time to Dig Out Following Major Snowstorm

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - We’re waking up and having to dig out from over a foot of snow on the ground from yesterday’s snowstorm.
Here are just a few of the snow reports we’ve received:
**Winter Storm Warnings remain in effect through 8pm for all of Western Massachusetts**
Today we will see a few light off and on snow showers throughout the day which will lead to an additional 1-3″ of accumulation. Otherwise, we are cold and breezy. With the fluffy nature of the snow, watch for blowing snow in the wind.
Tonight, snow ends in the late afternoon to early evening, then we’re seeing skies gradually clear. It’s cold as lows fall into the single digits. It’s breezy, so wind chills will range below 0°.
The rest of this week is looking relatively quiet weather-wise. Mostly cloudy with a few flurries around for Tuesday. Then the rest of the week features sun mixed with clouds.
It remains very cold this week where daytime highs range in the teens with overnight lows in the single digits. Gusty winds at times may put wind chills well below 0° in the mornings at times this week.
Watching the chance for more snow around Sunday.
