Warm, Muggy with Late Evening Storms Possible

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - We had a mild, muggy, and damp start out there following strong to severe storms that rolled through Western Mass last night.
Today, we have a very similar day to what we had on Tuesday. We’ll have sun and clouds, it’s warm and even a little muggy with highs in the lower to middle 80’s.
Then this evening, shower and storm chances increase. Tonight, our window of opportunity would be between 7p-2a, so a little later than Tuesday. Also, these storms may be a bit more isolated in nature, versus the widespread storms we saw Tuesday.
Any storms that roll through though, have the potential to be strong to severe. The storm prediction center has placed parts of Western Massachusetts under a marginal risk for severe weather, 1 out of 5 on the scale.
Tonight, once storms end, we’re mild, muggy with lows in the upper 50’s to around 60° with some patchy fog.
Thursday looks very similar to today. Sun and clouds for the majority of the day. It’s warm and muggy with highs in the low to mid-80’s. Chance for a late-day or evening storm. Some could be strong to severe. Parts of Western Mass have been placed under a marginal risk again Thursday.
Friday, we’re seeing sun and clouds with a late-day shower or storm chance.
The weekend is a few degrees cooler, but still warm. Highs in the middle and upper 60’s to near 70°. Dry Saturday, with showers around on Sunday.
Right now, next week is starting off cool, then a return to seasonable temperatures as the week goes on.
