Windy & Chilly to Start the Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Many of us this morning waking up to a light dusting of snow, and some ice.
Today will feature a taste of winter with chilly temperatures and gusty breezes. We’re looking at temperatures ranging in the 30’s to near 40° today.
Winds will be gusting out of the WNW between 20-40 mph. Factoring in the wind, feels-like temperatures range in the teens and 20’s.
We have strong low pressure in Eastern Canada, and high pressure building in from our southwest, so this difference in pressure is kicking up the breezes. Otherwise, we’re looking at a mix of sun and clouds with perhaps a few stray flurries in the hills.
Tonight, we hang onto a breeze between 10-20 mph as lows fall into the 20’s to near 30°.
Tomorrow is mostly sunny with a lighter breeze. Highs should climb into the lower and middle 40’s. Quiet weather continues through Wednesday and Thursday. We’re partly to mostly sunny both days as high pressure builds in, with lighter breezes. Highs should range in the 40’s, which now for mid-November, is normal.
Friday, low pressure passes to our north, and we may see a period of rain with milder temperatures. As of now, should be out in time for the weekend.
